New Creative Writing Class in Campbellford: January 2019

Join Ursula Pflug for an eight week creative writing workshop. We will focus on short fiction but are able to accommodate life writers and memoirists. All levels welcome–in this class we learn from and inspire each other! Through a mix of goal oriented exercises and a supportive atmosphere, Pflug’s workshops empower students to develop their best work.

Facilitator Bio:

Ursula Pflug is the author or editor of ten novels, novellas, short story collections and fiction anthologies. She has won US small press awards, and been a finalist for national awards at home, including the Sunburst, ReLit, Aurora and K.M. Hunter Awards; the Three Day Novel and Descant Novella Contests and others. She is also a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her fiction, reviews and essays have appeared in Canada, the US and the UK for decades in award winning publications including Strange Horizons, Leviathan, Lightspeed, Fantasy and others. Her books have been endorsed by luminaries including Charles de Lint, Candas Jane Dorsey, Heather Spears, Tim Wynne-Jones, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, Jan Thornhill and NYT bestselling author Jeff VanderMeer. She has taught creative writing workshops in Toronto, Peterborough, Campbellford, Maynooth and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; at Trent University, Loyalist College, Trinity Square Video, The Arlington Hotel, A Place For The Arts Bancroft, The San Miguel Writers’ Conference and elsewhere.
